Wheatgrass and other cereal grasses

Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass and barley grass are cereal grasses which are a great part of a raw food diet or any diet.  Wheat grass is most often consumed as wheatgrass juice.  A great way to turn wheat-grass into wheat grass juice is with a wheatgrass juicer.  Wheatgrass juicers can also be used to juice the barley green and green barley grass.  Wheat grass juice can also be made from wheat grass powder, such as Pines wheat grass. The sprouted cereal grasses we use in our super food blends are made with only the tips of  Kamut wheat grass and barley grass which have been juiced. The cereal grasses are grown in biodynamically and organic. The cereal grasses are never regrown a second or third generation ensuring the most mineral rich sprouted wheat grass and barley grass. Most competitors who are producing super food green powders are using sprouted wheat and other cereal grasses which not only are grown in mineral deficient soil but also which has been grown several generations in one tray.

One of our nutritional coaches who knows about the benefits of wheat grass is LeRoy.  Of course, he recommends organic wheat grass.  He loves the extremely high levels of vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, live enzymes and other nutrients of both spirulina and wheat grass.  Whereas some others choose to use a manual juicer for juicing wheatgrass, he uses a 20-amp Blendtec blender and a nut milk bag to break open the cell walls of his fresh, raw organic wheatgrass and facilitate absorption of the abundance of great nutrients.  This method is also a time-saver, yielding up to 16 fl. oz. of micronized wheatgrass juice in just a couple of minutes.
