One of the primary reasons people show interest in the science of rebuilding aerobic friendly micro flora is for the purposes of weight loss. Being overweight is something you never see take place in nature among wild animals. A person’s self image is something we realize is important to them in this world regardless of your age. Not only is being overweight bad for ones self image it is also physically uncomfortable. The second common factor we find is that the people who are overweight are either on medication or antibiotics or have been for extended periods of time as children or adults. The effect which antibiotics and medications have on the friendly micro flora in the small intestines and colon causes the beginning of proliferation and dominance of unfriendly anaerobic bacteria and Candida. This overgrowth of unfriendly bacteria in the small intestines and colon causes the host to yearn for the foods which nurture the life cycle of unfriendly anaerobic yeast microbes, e.g. processed sugars, alcohol and flour grains (pastas, breads and snacks). These foods which are all heavy with the wheat protein gluten and yeast are heavily processed, hard to digest and all contribute to creating a thick layer of mucus plaque which coats the villus lining of the small intestines and leads the person to malabsorption of nutrients (not to mention the nutritional value of the diet they were existing with is devoid of nutrients and minerals. Once anaerobic unfriendly bacteria have integrated into the subconscious decision-making around food choices and we are nonabsorbent we easily can experience weight gain or obesity and sometimes extreme weight loss and degenerative diseases in the organs.
